While we are in isolation, many of our favourite author-illustrators are sharing how-to videos, challenges and much more. Why not check them out and share them with your children so they can learn how to draw some of their favourite book characters?

Dav Pilkey is known for popular books such as Captain Underpants and Dog Man. Every Friday Dav shares videos and instructions on how to draw favourite characters such as Dog Man, Petey and Piggy.
He also has creative art activities, story writing “choose the ending” challenges, colouring in and word searches.

Liz Pichon is the brains and pencil behind the well loved Tom Gates books. Tom Gates doodling style is very distinctive. Liz has been sharing how-to videos on how to recreate Tom Gates’ style for many years across Youtube and on the Scholastic Films UK YouTube channel.

While in isolation he has been posting draw along videos every Tuesday and Thursday, and asking his fans to share their own drawings on social media under the hashtag #drawwithrob.
